Porcelain is best suited for high traffic floors
Porcelain is a type of ceramic, but it?s composition also includes sand and glass. It?s also fired at higher temperatures than most clay materials, making it denser and heavier. As a result, you?ll see it on kitchen and bathroom floors, and anywhere there?s a lot of heavy activity.
Porcelain is waterproof, whether or not it?s glazed. Of special interest for Calgary residents, it's also frost-proof. That means you can use it or deck floors, on walkways, or anywhere outside.
